What is the Frank Herrgott Method?
For many years, I have reflected deeply on questions that matter to me as a pianist:
How do we create true ease at the piano?
How do we produce a beautiful, vocal, expressive sound?
How do we develop an organic playing that is not only heard — but felt?
A few months ago, I began practicing Tai Chi daily, every morning.
Through this discipline, I discovered profound principles about balance, energy flow, breath, and movement — principles that apply directly to music.
From this exploration was born a structured method built around a diamond of four dimensions:
◇ Body
Body awareness. Gravity. Weight transfer. Arm support. Coordination.
Understanding how the physical system truly works in relation to the keyboard.
◇ Soul (Energy)
Life is movement. Movement is energy.
Replacing force with energy flow (Chi) — creating powerful, fluid, natural sound production.
◇ Heart
Emotion. Humanity. Inner voice.
How to make the piano sing.
How to transform the voice we hear inside into real musical expression.
◇ Mind
Conscious decisions. Responsibility. Mission.
What does it mean to serve music?
What does it mean to be an artist?
The symbiosis of these four dimensions — Body, Soul, Heart, Mind — defines the complete artist.
During this workshop, I will guide participants step by step through each dimension with practical exercises directly at the piano.
This is not only a masterclass. It is a transformation in how we approach music.

Frank Herrgott Method คืออะไร?
ตลอดหลายปีที่ผ่านมา ผมตั้งคำถามกับตัวเองเสมอว่า
เราจะเล่นเปียโนอย่างผ่อนคลายได้อย่างไร?
จะสร้างเสียงที่งดงามและ “ร้องเพลงได้” อย่างไร?
จะทำให้การเล่นดนตรีไม่เพียงแค่ได้ยิน แต่ “รู้สึกได้” อย่างไร?
เมื่อไม่กี่เดือนก่อน ผมเริ่มฝึกไทชิทุกเช้าอย่างสม่ำเสมอ
และค้นพบหลักการสำคัญเกี่ยวกับสมดุล การไหลของพลังงาน ลมหายใจ และการเคลื่อนไหว
ซึ่งสามารถนำมาประยุกต์ใช้กับดนตรีได้อย่างลึกซึ้ง
จากการค้นพบนี้ ผมได้พัฒนาเป็นวิธีการสอนที่สร้างขึ้นบน 4 มิติหลักในรูปแบบ “สี่เหลี่ยมเพชร”
◇ Body – การตระหนักรู้ร่างกาย
แรงโน้มถ่วง การถ่ายน้ำหนัก การประสานงานของแขนและข้อต่อ
◇ Soul – พลังงาน
ชีวิตคือการเคลื่อนไหว การเคลื่อนไหวคือพลังงาน (Chi)
แทนที่การใช้แรง ด้วยการใช้พลังงานที่ไหลลื่นและทรงพลัง
◇ Heart – หัวใจและอารมณ์
เสียงภายใน การทำให้เปียโน “ร้องเพลง”
การถ่ายทอดอารมณ์อย่างแท้จริง
◇ Mind – ความคิดและความรับผิดชอบ
การตัดสินใจอย่างมีสติ
ความหมายของการเป็นศิลปิน
การผสานทั้ง 4 มิตินี้ คือความสมบูรณ์ของศิลปิน
